Moromeții 3: gala premiere at the National Theater on November 13

The director Stere Gulea, the director of photography Vivi Drăgan Vasile, together with the actors Horațiu Mălăele, Alex Călin, Olimpia Melinte and Mara Bugarin will participate in the gala premiere of the film Moromeții 3 which will take place on Wednesday, November 13, from 19:00, at the Ion Caramitru Hall of the Bucharest National Theatre. The organizers announce an event that will recreate the spirit of the 1950s and will bring to the public a large part of the film’s team, as well as other guests and surprise moments. Tickets went on sale online on the Eventbook platform.

“The beauty of this film, whose story continues to arouse the interest and curiosity of Romanians everywhere, is that it managed to create a bond between generations – all the special screenings at the festivals where it was present this summer gathered a large audience of all ages. People’s reactions were sincere emotion in front of a production that ends one of the most beloved and well-known stories in our literature. We want to make the Gala Premiere a memorable event, for each individual viewer,” said Andrei Aivănoaei, distribution manager Transilvania Film.

The last part of the trilogy inspired by Marin Preda’s novels, Moromeții 3, follows the destiny of Niculae, the youngest son of the famous peasant family, who becomes a well-known writer in the 50s. A difficult moment for the history of the country, the establishment of the new communist regime thus becomes the background of the complex stories in the life of this young man full of ideas, ambitions and hopes. Played by Alex Călin, the character navigates love interests, professional and ideological conflicts, but also the relationship with his old and wise father, Ilie Moromete, played by Horațiu Mălăele.

The impressive cast also includes Răzvan Vasilescu, Iulian Postelnicu, Cătălin Herlo, Dana Dogaru, Toma Cuzin, Ana Ciontea, Laurențiu Bănescu, Conrad Mericoffer, Ioan Andrei Ionescu, Andreea Bibiri, Ilinca Hărnuț, Dorina Chiriac, with the extraordinary participation of Oana Pellea.
