New wave of artists confirmed for UNTOLD 2023

The organizers of the UNTOLD festival are bringing the world’s best DJs to Cluj-Arena this summer, between August 3 and 6: Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Alesso and Salvatore Ganacci.

In 2023, UNTOLD is the only festival in Europe to have these names in the same line-up, and the eighth chapter of the UNTOLD legend will be a memorable one.

DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Martin Garrix returns to the main stage at UNTOLD. The Dutchman became known around the world after releasing one of the biggest hits in electronic music, the single “Animals”, in 2013. The track has exceeded 361 million listens on Spotify and 1.6 billion views on YouTube.

There are only a few artists who are successful in mainstream and underground culture. David Guetta is one such artist. After being voted the world’s number 1 DJ two years in a row, Guetta is considered the world’s most relevant artist. In the ranking of the best 101 producers of 2022, a ranking made by 1001tracklists, the Frenchman occupies the 1st place.

From released productions to live appearances, Salvatore Ganacci breaks out of the category of conventional artists. He collaborated with Major Lazer’s Sanjin and Jillionaire, and the official music video for “Money in my mattress,” a production he released with Trinidad James, was deemed by MTV as “the weirdest thing you’ll watch all day.”  Ganacci manages to attract audiences in a unique way, the Swede’s live appearances have gone viral on social media platforms.

Swedish DJ and producer Alesso managed to become a relevant name in electronic music culture thanks to a combination of styles: progressive house and pop. His first success was “Calling (Lose My Mind)”, a song he collaborated with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder, the soloist of OneRepublic. It was followed by “Under Control”, with the British duo Hurts and Calvin Harris, with which he managed to reach the first place in the official ranking of Great Britain, UK Singles Chart. Alesso has been invited to open concerts for Madonna on the MDNA Tour and has worked with the most famous names in mainstream culture in recent years.

The UNTOLD experience would not be complete without Armin Van Buuren one of the most loved DJs, who has been here since the first edition in 2015. The Dutchman, who has been in the top five DJs in the world for 21 years in a row, managed to at every live appearance at Cluj-Arena to build a special relationship with the festival’s fans, he is the artist who wrote the most beautiful chapter in the UNTOLD story, and in 2023 he returns to the festival’s mainstage.

This year the biggest names in the music industry will take to the main stage of the festival. The first live band confirmed by the organizers is Imagine Dragons, a first for Romania. The band from the United States, rewarded with a Grammy Award, ten Billboard Music Awards, five Teen Choice Awards trophies, included the UNTOLD festival in the 2023 world tour.

Amelie Lens, one of the artists who dominate the club/festival culture in the past years, the creator of the minimal hi-tech, German Boris Brejcha, British duet Camelphat, Italian Marco Carola, considered the ambassador of techno genre, the man behind the Innervision brand, German artist Dixon and the US Bedouin are the first names announced for the Galaxy stage.
