Octavian Iacob, a Romanian film director who graduated the New York Film Academy, is part of the team of directors of Back 2 Back, an original Netflix production, which is also filmed in Romania.
Octavian is working on the movie sets in Constanta, southeastern Romania, next to important names of the world and Romanian cinema and entertainment industry, such as Alain Depardieu, who is Gerard Depardieu’s brother, actor Florin Piersic Jr., Sandu Lungu (Romanian kickboxer and judo fighter), Ionuț Iftimoaie (Romanian kickboxer) and Eduard Irimia, the producer of the film and the founder of Superkombat Fighting Championship.
Production teams consisting in 50 French and Romanian specialists have been involved to shoot Back 2 Back. The team from Romania is coordinated by Octavian Iacob.
“I am honoured to work next to reference names on the Romanian and international film stage, the more the film is produced by the giant Netflix. After graduating New York Film Academy, one of my goals was to learn from the best people and to bring my contribution to this industry, by raising the quality and professionalism level from one production to another”, Octavian Iacob said.
Back 2 Back is an action film about a young talent who is fighting in various boxing rings and who is discovered by Eduard Irimia, and then trained by Ionuț Iftimoaie. The coach is though proven to suffer of a secret disease and things take a sudden, unusual turn.
The Film will be available in Romania as of the summer of 2020.
