After the driving double opening concert in Bucharest and Sibiu on May 14 and the first days of Bucharest International Jazz Competition and Jeunesses International Music Competition Dinu Lipatti, EUROPAfest 2015 invites today, May 18 at the extraordinary jazz concert of Bucharest International Jazz Competition performed by Shalosh from Israel, Zadeno Trio from Italy and Atom String Quartet from Poland at Excelsior Theatre.
Also on the 18 May, jazz and classic move to the unconventional space of Caffe Festival Ibis. The artists bring the air of the cosmopolitan cities in the middle of the audience are Monofunktional from Austria on 18 May and Mynah from Italy on 19 May. The agenda is completed with explosive shows starting May 20 in which the bands obtain an interesting mix between styles and amaze through originality and innovation – Jam Session, “Classic meets Jazz” and on 22 May “Best of Jazz”.
The 21 and 22 May bring again concerts in Sibiu, at Thalia Hall. Under the lead of the conductor Theo Wolther from Netherlands, on 21 May, Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra has as soloists Edwin Kim – violin and Melanie Chae – piano, from South Korea and on the 22nd of May, the finalists from Jeunesses International Jazz Competition Dinu Lipatti will evolve in the Extraordinary Classical Concert – Best World Violinists.
23 May is the peak of the festival, through EUROPAfest Gala. The finalists of Bucharest International Jazz Competition will fight for the Grand Prize on the scene of Odeon Theatre. On the same occasion the awarding of the prize for the violin competition, and the Royal House will grant the Diploma of Excellency will take place, the organizers from jmEvents informed.
