Placebo’s 20th anniversary tour makes a stop in Bucharest

Placebo will celebrate 20 years of existence by a special tour that will also make a stop in Romania. Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal & co will perform at Arenele Romane in Bucharest on June 28 in a retrospective musical journey that will cross 20 years, 7 studio albums and tens of memories inspired by the band’s famous beats of such songs as ca “Pure Morning”, “Every me and Every You” or “Teenage Angst”.

Tickets have already been put up for sale, Phoenix Entertainment informs.

Placebo marked 20 years of activity by releasing the compilation “A Place for Us to Dream” comprising 36 songs. According to the frontman Brian Molko, the anniversary tour is dedicated to the fans, while it is also a chance for the band to revise its incipient style. “Let’s say the setlist includes songs that we swore we would never perform anymore,” he said.

Placebo, famous for songs like “Nancy Boy”, “Special K”, “Black-Eyed”, “Sleeping with Ghosts”, “Battle for the Sun”, “Loud Like Love”, but also for the touching features with David Bowie (“Without You I’m Nothing”), Michael Stipe from R.E.M (“Broken Promise”) or Alison Mosshart from The Kills (“Meds”), has consolidated its top position as one of the most influential contemporary bands.

Tickets are available in the Eventim network, while the price of a ticket on the concert day will be RON 220.
