Until Rain is a progressive metal band which was formed back in 2008 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The band’s music is a mix of many musical elements such as prog, melodic and experimental metal, art rock, electronic music sometimes combined even with extreme metal elements. In July 2009 Until Rain signed with Steel Gallery Records for their first label release, the debut concept album, “The Reign Of Dreams”. The album was recorded during the first months of 2009 at Fragile Studios by Vangelis Yalamas in Athens, Greece. Its concept concerns dreams, but its scenario could be adapted to reality as a real and adventurous life story.
POEM (photo) is a four-piece progressive rock/metal group based in Athens. Formed in 2006 by George Prokopiou, Kamil Kamieniecky and George Anagnostou, the lineup went through some changes over the years and now consists of George Prokopiou (vocals/guitar), Laurence Bergström (lead guitar), Stratos Haidos (bass) and Stavros Rigos (drums). With a wide range of influences and love for experimentation, POEM embarked on a sound adventure defining their personal style from the very first songs. The four members have various musical backgrounds which they bring into the studio and rehearsals, creating music that none of them could compose alone. They like to experiment with different sounds and rhythms, so jamming freely is a liberating process for each member separately and also a very unifying process for the band. Their style of music can be classified as both progressive and alternative rock with alternative metal undertones.
TAINE has been founded in 1993 as a consequence to Andy’s wish to have a “100% metal” band, as he was influenced at that time by well known bands as Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Mekong Delta, Carcass, Coroner, Cynic, Atheist, Death and many others. The idea of founding “Taine” band had been actually materialized with the enormous indirect influence of Megadeth. Being a fan of this band, especially of Dave Mustaine, Andy had at the time all the walls covered in posters with Megadeth’ members. So, one day, searching for a revelation or a epiphany that could help to put in place his dream of having a metal band, he saw the picture and the name of Dave MusTAINE, and that’s how “Taine” denomination appeared. The last syllable of Mustaine’s name-TAINE-has a deep, esoteric meaning in Romanian. In Romanian language, Taine is a polysemantic word and most of its means are related with the Orthodox Church belief in the 10 mysteries.
