The building, historic monument, was built in 1906, according to the vision of architect Oscar Maugsch, and was originally the headquarters of the ‘Generala’ Insurance Company.
Visitors can see a number of architectural projects, but also products such as the world’s first laminated bamboo bicycle or a bookmark that adapts the light from the reader’s room.
The Communications Director of the NGO organizing the festival, Ana Păun, said: “The exhibition is structured on several categories, such as architecture, object design, graphic design, fashion, and a multidisciplinary session with projects that are somewhere on the border with other disciplines.
The exhibition opens for the general public on May 18, when it is also included in the Night of Museums circuit. The programme on Saturday will be extended until 1:00h. The central exhibition is open until May 26, from 10:00h to 22:00h. “
