San Sebastián 2017 film festival: Bogdan Dumitrache – ‘best actor’ for the role in ‘Pororoca’

Bogdan Dumitrache received the “Best Actor” award of the San Sebastián Film Festival on Saturday night for his role in the film ‘Pororoca’ directed by Constantin Popescu, informs.

Bogdan Dumitrache told Digi24 TV that the movie is a “strong one, a movie that should be seen by all parents.”

Actress Dolores Fonzi handed the award, and Bogdan Dumitrache thanked the director and screenwriter Constantin Popescu and dedicated the award to his daughters.

The film tells the story of a happy family. He works for a telephone company, she is an accountant, and together they have two children, Maria and Ilie. On a Sunday morning, when he takes the children to the park, Maria goes missing.

Born on May 2, 1977, Bogdan Dumitrache graduated the ‘I.L. Caragiale National University for Theatrical and Cinema Art’ under the guidance of actor Mircea Albulescu. He had the debut on the scene at Nottara theatre in 2000.

He played in movies such as ‘The death of Mr. Lazarescu’ (2005) by Cristi Puiu, ‘How I spent the end of the world’ (2006) by Catalin Mitulescu, ‘Out of love with best intentions’ (2011) and ‘Child’s Pose’ (2013) by Calin Peter Netzer which was awarded the Golden Bear.

In 2016 Bogdan Dumitrache plated in the movie ‘Double’ by Catrinel Danaiata and in ‘Sierranevada’ by Cristi Puiu.
