Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna back in Bucharest soon. Baritone Philippe Spiegel, in the pipeline


Philippe Spiegel is a nonconformist baritone who will perform live at Sala Palatului in Bucharest on December 23, at the Imperial Christmas Gala 2017, when Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna will introduce the Romanian music lovers into a charming Christmas atmosphere.

Philippe Spiegel has a wide musical experience, despite his young age, he is renowned for playing Bach and he is the most appreciated baritone of the Viennese Orchestra for almost one decade. Soprano Simona Eisinger and the youngest conductor of the orchestra, 31-year-old Vinicius Kattah will join Philippe Spiegel for the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna’s most-expected performance.PSpiegel

Born in Santiago de Chile, but raised in Innsbruck, Spiegel has earned his early musical experience as vocalist in the “Wilten boys’ choir”. When he was 17 he was admitted at the Music University in Vienna and studied with Karlheinz Hanser and KS Marjana Lipovšek, and attended master courses with Christa Ludwig, Thomas Hampson, Michael Schade, Thomas Quasthoff and Helmut Deutsch.

He won several prized such as “Prima la Musica” contest for youth, “Gradus ad Parnassum” competition and a song contest in Berlin.

As for opera, Philippe Spiegel has made memorable parts in: Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Figaro (Der Barbier von Sevilla), Marcello (La Bohème), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) precum și Melisso (Alcina lui Händel), Conte Perrucchetto (La fedeltà premiata), Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus) and Zoroastro (Händel’s Orlando).
