Seven days of Japanese movies in Bucharest

The Japanese Film Festival kicked off in Bucharest on Thursday, bringing love stories, drama, black comedy or gangsters movies to the Romanian cinemagoers. Seven movies signed by young Japanese directors such as Nobuhiro Yamashita, Hiromasa Hirouse, Nami Iguchi, Toshiaku Toyoda, but also by old experimented Hideyuki Hirayama and Hajime Hashimoto will be screened until next Wednesday at “Eforie” and “Union” cinema halls.

The Festival opened on Thursday with “The laughing frog/ Warau Kaeru” film. “The cat is running away from home/Inu-Neko”, “Shots in Matsugane/ Matsugane Ransha Jiken” and “Blue spring/ Aoi Haru” are some of the other movies to be screened.

According to the organizers, all movies have English subtitle. The entrance is free.
