The Ukrainian stroners returns to Romania after their success at the very first edition of SoundArt Festival 2017. If this year Stoned Jesus had a setlist in which they played the entire “Seven Thunders Roar” album, at the second SoundArt Festival’ s edition the band will play for the first time new tracks on the upcoming studio release. Legendary Ukrainian stoners will join the confirmed bands, till now: Klimt 1918, Need, Somali Yacht Club, Puta Volcano, Purple Dino, Roadkillsoda, Methadone Skies.
The event will take place between May 11th and 13th, 2018. Subscriptions and event tickets can be purchased at the promotional price on iabilet.ro.
Stoned Jesus is from Kyiv, Ukraine that emerged in 2009 as Igor Sydorenko’s Krobak side-project, dealing with the heavier and darker side of rock music. Beginning with sludge/post-metal blueprints, it shaped into a full-time band, becoming musically closer to stoner rock and traditional doom metal in vein of early Black Sabbath, later days Electric Wizard and classic Sleep, according to last.fm. After releasing their debut First Communion record and playing dozens of gigs in Ukraine and Russian Federation, the band went through lineup change and released a new EP entitled Stormy Monday on April 7, 2011.
