“The Eagle Huntress”, released for the first time in Romania at KINOdiseea film festival


The 8th edition of KINOdiseea film festival running November 10-20 presents over 100 national premieres, 25 feature films and 80 short films, as well as 25 workshops, Q&A sessions with foreign guests and the renowned Fancy Ball.

According to the festival’s art director, the 2016 edition runs under the slogan “You can do anything” inspired by Sia’s song, especially composed for “The Eagle Huntress” documentary that will KINOdiseea this year. “The 8th edition of KINOdiseea, through the selected movies, sends an important message to children and youngsters: to follow their dreams, no matter how big and unfeasible they might seem,” Ligia Mitulescu said.

The Eagle Huntress” will be released in Bucharest as a national first, and will be screened on November 10. The movie tells the story of a 13-year-old young girl living with his Kazakh family in the Mongol part of the Altai Mountains. She lives her life on the edge between tradition and modernism. Her greatest wish is to be the first girl in the history to attend her tribe’s annual hunting contest.

SIA has written the “Angel by the wings” songs especially for the documentary, which is narrated by Daisy Ridley, the Star War’s star.

The tickets for “The Eagle Huntress” are available online at eventbook.ro; the price is RON 7 for pupils and RON 10 for adults.

At the end of the festival, the KINOdiseea jury will select a film dedicated to the young audience to attend the European Film Awards — Young Audience Award competition.

The screenings will take place at Cinema PRO, Cinema Eforie, Cinema Elvira Popescu, the New Cinema of the Romanian Director and at Hollywood Multiplex.
