The “Adrian Ghenie-Darwin’s Room” album, the first Romanian publication dedicated to famous contemporary artist Adrian Ghenie, will be presented within the first meeting dedicated to the Venice Biennale hosted by Humanitas Cisimigiu bookshop on Sunday, as of 5 p.m.
The album comprises high quality copies of the works presented at the Art Biennale in Venice, critical texts, interviews and excerpts from the international media. The volume, published by Mihai Pop and Corina Suteu, is accompanying the project that Romania is presenting at the 56th edition of the Art Biennale in Venice (May 9-November 22, 2015). The biennale’s theme this year -«All the World’s Futures» is proposing a reflection exercise over the future of the mankind, while Romania’s Pavilion is contributing through «Darwin’s Room» exhibition, rejoining Ghenie’s latest paintings, to the shaping of the past’s reading as mandatory part of the vision about the future.
Adrian Ghenie’s works are present in the most important museums, private art collections and galleries across the world: Pompidou Center in Paris, SFMOMA (San Francisco), Hammer Museum and The Contemporary Art museum in Los Angeles, S.M.A.K. Collection, etc.
