The Living Statues take Bucharest by storm

Tens of living statues have been set up downtown Bucharest on Tuesday evening for the seventh edition of the International Festival of Living Statues. It will be a whole week of shows in four different parks in the Capital. Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, the Lady with the umbrella or Coco Chanel will “walk” across Bucharest, telling touching stories.

As of Wednesday night, the street theatre lovers will be able to see six Chinese actors who will bring to life famous characters of Caragiale’s play “A stormy night”.03.-Festivalul-International-de-Statui-Vivante-640x610

Masca Theatre will present 15 complex living statues with original costumes and sceneries.

A hidden statue in the library can be seen on Victoriei Avenue, next to a dancing lady with a blue hat.

Romanian actors from Masca Theatre will be accompanied by troupes from Austria, China and The Netherlands.

Living statues will be also found in Humulesti park in Ferentari district on Wednesday and Thursday, in Crangasi park on Friday and Saturday and in Herastrau park on Sunday and Monday. Entrance is free.
