Just one week left until the anniversary edition of Vienna Ball by JW Marriott.
The fancy event, hold under the auspices of Vienna City Hall and of the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest, turns 10 and will celebrate this precious anniversary at the Parliament Palace on Saturday, March 7.
The artistic program of the evening is opened by Schönbrunn Festival Orchestra and will proceed with artistic moments performed by soprano Theresa Krügl and baritone Christoph Filler, Horia Brenciu and his orchestra, Razvan Mazilu, as well as dance shows performed by the children from National Opera ballet school and from Pas in Doi dance school.
The most impressive moment is undoubtedly the traditional parade of the 80 debutants. This year, the young girls will wear dresses signed by Lena Criveanu. Another traditional moment is the one when the ball’s Master of ceremonies, Martin Grund is inviting the guests for the square dance and coordinates it.
The menu, prepared by the food&beverage team of JW Marriott is inspired by the traditional Austrian food and ingredients, such as alpenlachs, serviettenknodel, foie gras, pumpkin, root crop, forest mushrooms and the popular apple.
The event’s beneficiaries are the charity organizations United Way Romania and SOS Satele Copiilor (SOS Children’s villages)
Organizers expressed special thanks to H.E. the Austrian Ambassador in Bucharest, Dr. Gerhard Reiweger and to Vienna’s Mayor, Dr. Michael Häupl.
