Universal Day of Culture marked in Romania with embassies and cultural institutes

On Monday, April 15, 2024, at 18:00, we celebrate the first edition of the Universal Day of Culture at the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Bucharest (8 Nicolae Crețulescu street).

At the initiative of the museum to choose an object, a building or a personality important for the culture of each country, the Embassy of Argentina, the Embassy of Cuba, the Embassy of Denmark, the Embassy of Greece, the Embassy of Mexico, the Embassy of Norway and the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center Bucharest responded positively to the invitation and we thank them in this way.

The 1872 edition of the verse epic “Martin Fierro” by the Argentinean José Hernández, the “Anales de la Academia de la Historia” (1921, Cuba), the Circle Bridge in Denmark, the Acropolis Museum in Athens, a description of nierika, an artistic manifestation dedicated to the cosmogony of the wixarika people (Mexico), an exhibition about the Norwegian writer Jon Fosse, laureate of the Nobel Prize for Literature, as well as the building of the Hungarian Music Museum.

His Excellency Mr. Carlos Alejandro Poffo, Ambassador of Argentina to Romania, His Excellency Ms. Amparo Anguiano, Ambassador of Mexico to Romania, Mr. Nikolaos Vlahakis, Minister Plenipotentiary for Public Diplomacy of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Romania, Mr. F. Vladimir will speak Pérez Casal, counselor at the Cuban Embassy, and Mr. Kósa András László, director of the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center Bucharest, will take the floor.
