Untold Named Best Foreign Festival in France

The UNTOLD Festival was honored with the trophy in the ‘Best Foreign Festival’ category at the Heavent Festival Awards, an event held last week in Paris at Porte de Versailles.

This marked the first time in the event’s history that there was a category dedicated to international festivals. The jury consisted of 12 members, including personalities from the music industry and representatives from multinational companies in France, and the UNTOLD Festival received a unanimous vote.

For this year’s edition, events in the top 20 of the world’s largest festivals, according to the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals ranking, were nominated: Awakenings, Exit, Defqon1, and Misteryland.

The internationally nominated events, featured for the first time at the Heavent Awards, were selected based on various criteria: CSR campaigns, production and logistics, economic impact, innovation and creativity, quality of services provided to participants, and their safety, as well as commercial partnerships.

Romania is on the map of major global events thanks to the UNTOLD Festival, which this year rose to the 6th position in the Top 100 Festivals worldwide. At the European level, fans are invited each year to vote for their favorite festival in the European Festival Awards, where the UNTOLD Festival is nominated in the most important category, ‘Best Major Festival.’

The voting process for the European Festival Awards concludes on November 30. The trophy ceremony will take place on January 17, 2024.
