Whitesnake announced on July 2 that it is canceling its European farewell tour due to health problems. The artists should have come to Bucharest in the middle of this month, going on the same stage with KISS.

David Coverdale himself made the announcement on Facebook:

“It is with the deepest sadness that I must announce that due to continuing health challenges, doctor’s orders, and our concern for everyone’s health and safety, Whitesnake is unable to continue its European Farewell Tour.
I extend my sincere apologies to All of Whitesnake’s Amazing Fans who have been looking forward to the remaining scheduled shows of this tour, All of our Amazing, Fabulous Snakes & tour personnel who have been working so hard to put on these shows, and All of the promoters and other professionals who have helped set up the tour… I Appreciate & Love You All!!!”
At the end of June 2022, Whitesnake canceled 3 concerts in the farewell tour due to a sinus and trachea infection suffered by Coverdale. The soloist turned 70 in September and is not the only member of the band who fell ill during the band’s European tour. Guitarist Reb Beach missed a few shows in the last month feeling sick. On June 25, Whitenake canceled his performance at the Rock Imperium Festival in Spain because drummer Tommy Aldridge had his own health problems, missing a concert for the first time in his career.
