Alexandra Dulgheru has qualified to the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur

Romanian tennis player Alexandra Dulgheru has qualified to the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), a tournament with prizes worth USD 250,000, after defeating on Friday in straight sets, 7-6 (7/5) 7-5 Julia Goerges (Germany), favourite No. 8.

Dulgheru (25 years – WTA no. 94) won the match in 2 hours and 17 min.

The Romanian tennis player secured a check worth USD 11,500 and 110 WTA points and will meet her in the semi-finals the winner of the match between Australian Jarmila Gajdosova (No.4) and Kurumi Nara (Japan) (No.6).
