Another Romanian has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The Romanian Weightlifting Federation announced that Loredana Toma has qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris, after participating in the World Cup in Phuket (Thailand).

The Romanian athlete participated in the 71 kg category and ranked 14th in the snatch (105 kg) and throw (130 kg). Multiple European and world champion, Toma was 12th overall, with 235 kg.

“Confirmations of the International Weightlifting Federation” regarding Loredana Toma’s qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games “will be announced in the next period”, announces FR Weightlifting.

Romania was represented by three athletes at the World Cup in Phuket, and Mihaela-Valentina Cambei won three medals in the 55 kg category: two silver (pulled and total) and one bronze (thrown).

Loredana Toma is the 78th Romanian athlete to qualify for the 2024 Olympics.
