ATP Finals: Tecau/Rojer – defeated in the first match
The pair made up by Romanian tennis player Horia Tecau and Dutch player Jean-Julien Rojer was defeated Sunday evening by the French pair Pierre-Hugues Herbert/Nicolas Mahut 1-6, 7-6 (7), 10-8, in the first doubles match counting for the ATP Finals in London.
Third seeded pair Tecau/Rojer dominated the first set, but failed to capitalize the important moments in the second set and in the super tiebreak. In the super tiebreak, Rojer made a double fault at the score of 8-8.
The match lasted one hour and 44 minutes.
In the other match of the group, Ryan Harrison (US)/Michael Venus (New Zeeland) defeated 6-4, 7-6 (8) second seeded Henri Kontinen (Finland)/John Peers (Australia).
