Banca Transilvania Named Official Race Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix

Building on its long-standing partnership with Mastercard, Banca Transilvania will serve as an Official Race Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team at the 2025 Formula 1 Lenovo Hungarian Grand Prix — one of the most iconic events on the racing calendar and a key stop for one of motorsport’s most successful teams.

During the race weekend in Hungary, McLaren Racing drivers Lando Norris (25, UK) and Oscar Piastri (24, Australia) will display the Banca Transilvania and Mastercard logos on their helmets, steering wheels, and the McLaren MCL39 cars. Currently, Piastri and Norris rank first and second, respectively, in the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship, with McLaren leading the Constructors’ standings.

To mark this partnership, Banca Transilvania and Mastercard are launching a promotional campaign running from June 5 to July 31, 2025. Customers who make purchases of at least RON 500 using Banca Transilvania-issued Mastercard cards will be entered into a prize draw. Winners will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience: a thrilling lap of the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza in a McLaren road car, driven by a professional racing driver, ahead of the 2025 FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA.
