Champions League play-off: Steaua Bucharest vs. Manchester City on Tuesday. What stadium is to be used as training ground?
After a true soap opera in which Manchester City struggled to find a stadium in Bucharest to host it for training during the few days of stay in Bucharest, a solution was found.
Ghencea stadium (the former Steaua stadium) is the place where Manchester City will conduct two workouts, on Tuesday morning and as recovery after the game. Steaua’s first offer was the Giulesti stadium, but was rejected by City, digisport.ro reports.
Steaua Bucharest vs. Manchester City is to be played on Tuesday, August 16, match counting for the Champions Leagus play-off, at 21.45h local time.
UEFA announced on Sunday the referees for the match: Daniele Orsato (Italy), with assistants Riccardo Di Fiore and Lorenzo Manganelli.
The referees observer was named Zbigniew Przesmycki (Poland), Adonis Procopiou (Cyprus) will be the UEFA delegate.
