Champions League, women’s handball: CSM Bucharest loses return match against Metz, fails to reach final four tournament
CSM Bucharest missed the qualification at the Champions League, women’s handball final tournament, after being defeated by the French team Metz Handball with 23-22 (11-9) on Saturday in the second round of the quarterfinals.
The Romanian champions had also lost the first match in Bucharest 26-31.
CSM Bucharest will thus miss the Champions League final foir tournament after three consecutive years in which it won the trophy in 2016 and ranked third in 2017 and 2018.
To the final four tournament in Budapest have also qualified the teams of Gyori Audi ETO KC, Rostov on Don and Vipers Kristiansand.
