Champions League, women’s volleyball: CSM Bucharest defeats Chemik Police away in first match of Group E

CSM Bucharest women’s volleyball team defeated Chemik Police (Poland) 3-1(25-19, 25-16, 16-25, 25-22) Thursday evening, in the first match of Champions League, Group E.

The Romanian champions won in one hour and 43 minutes.

The best players of the Romanian team were Nadia Kodola – 18 points and Maret Balkestein Grothues – 14 points.

Attendance: 2,800.

In the other match of Group E, Fenerbahce SK Istanbul defeated away Dinamo Moscow 3-1.

In the second leg, CSM Bucharest will play at home against Dinamo Moscow, on December 20, whereas Fenerbahce will face at home Chemik Police, on December 19.
