Charleston Open: Irina Begu, defeated by Daria Kasatkina in the quarter-finals

Romanian tennis player Irina Begu was defeated on Friday by Daria Kasatkina (Russia) 6-4, 6-1 on the Charleston Open quarter-finals, a tournament with total prizes of USD 710,900.
It is for the first time Begu is defeated in the quarter-finals, the previous times she was defeated by Angelique Kerber.
For her performance, Irina Begu will receive 100 WTA points and a cheque for USD 17,858.
On Thursday Begu defeated Samantha Stosur 7-5, 6-3.
In the first rounds, Begu defeated Turkey’s Cagla Buyukakcay 6-0, 6-0 and Slovak Kristina Kucova 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6).
