Birmingham City are trying to sign prolific Romania striker George Puscas from Palermo, dailymail.co.uk reports.

The 22-year old scored seven goals for Romania in the European Championships qualifying rounds and scored against Croatia, England and Germany during last month’s U21 finals.

Puscas joined Palermo from Inter Milan last year for £2.9million and he scored nine goals in Serie B.

They were under transfer embargo until this summer’s window, but received a 12-point deduction in the Championship.

According to transfermarkt.com, the transfer rate for George Puscas is EUR 3 million. The amount should be paid by Palermo to Inter Milan, but the Sicilian team faces huge financial problems, ziare.com informs.

Puscas, included in the best team at the U-21 European Championship in Italy and San Marino, could return to Inter this summer, Italian media say.
