Football legend Gheorghe Hagi is one step away to see his dreams come true, i.e. to transfer his son Ianis Hagi for an important amount of money abroad and to be assured he will play for the new team.

Following the good matches played at the U-21 European Championship in Italy, Ianis Hagi has drawn attention to many teams throughout Europe, which have filed offers, ziare.com reports.

The most recent offer comes from Belgian team Genk, which allegedly is ready to spend EUR 10 million to achieve the young footballer, Telekom Sport informs. Moreover, the team is ready to accept a contractual clause that Ianis Hagi will be in the first line-up.

Hagi says he will make a decision Wednesday afternoon, the same source informs.

Genk are champions of Belgium and will play in Champions League next season.

Besides Genk, offers were received from Hoffenheim, Sevilla, Arsenal, Spartak Moscow, Standard Liege and Galatasaray Istanbul.

If the transfer will be completed, Ianis Hagi will become the most expensive Romanian football player sold abroad from League 1. The previous record stands for Nicolae Stanciu, transferred to Anderlecht for EUR 9.8 million.
