EURO 2020: Hundreds of Ukrainian, North Macedonian fans put on a show in Bucharest’s Old Town
The supporters of the football teams of Ukraine and North Macedonia met in Bucharest’s Old Town today before the match in Group C Ukraine-North Macedonia within EURO 2020 due this evening on the National Arena. Hundreds of fans wearing T-shirts of their national football teams have put on a show singing, chanting slogans and dancing on the narrow streets of the Old Town and in Universitatii Square.
Supporters of both teams had though friendly chats and even took photos with one another.
Before going to the Olt Town to eat and have a drink, many of the fans lined up at the anti-Covid testing centre in Alba Iulia Square.
Supporters have access on the stadium only if they are vaccinated or have a negative Covid test, no older than 72 hours.
The North Macedonia-Ukraine match is the second hosted by the Romanian Capital.
