Europa League: Astra Giurgiu defeated by Genk, out of the competition

Romanian football team Astra Giurgiu was eliminated from Europa League by KRC Genk, which won 1-0 (0-0) Thursday evening in Belgium, in the second leg of the last 32 round of the competition.

Spaniard Alejandro Pozuelo scored the only goal of the match (67^th min.), from a free kick from the left wing. In the first leg the score was 2-2.

Romanian champions made a very good game at Genk on a difficult pitch, and created some good opportunities but failed to score.

At the end of the first half (41^st min.), Budescu missed a huge opportunity, and shot wide from 10 meters.

Coach Marius Şumudică was sent to the stands by the referee for repeated protests (86^th min.).

Genk has qualified to the next round round thanks to pragmatism.

Astra has ended a good run in Europa League in the last 32 round.
