Europa League: CFR Cluj and FCSB defeated in the play-off first round

Romanian football champions CFR Cluj were defeated by Luxemburgish team F91 Dudelange 2-0 (0-0) Thursday evening in the first round of the Europa league play-off. The match was played on ‘Josy Barthel’ stadium in Luxembourg.

The goals were scored by David Turpel (67th minute) and Danel Sinani (80th minute). It was the first victory of a team from Luxembourg against a Romanian team.

The vice-champions FCSB were also defeated Thursday evening, by Rapid Vienna 3-1 (2-0) on Weststadion in the same stage of Europa League.

The goals were scored by Christoph Knasmullner (4th minute), Mario Sonnleitner (40th minute) and Stefan Schwab (49th minute) for the hosts and Harlem Gnohere (47th minute) for the guests.
