Europa League: FCSB and Universitatea Craiova through to second qualifying round

Football vice-champions FCSB have qualified to Europa League second qualifying round after defeating away, Thursday evening, the Moldovan team Milsami Orhei 2-1 (2-0).

Romania’s vice-champions, who had won the first round 2-0 in Giurgiu, won by the goals scored by Cristian Dumitru (4th minute) and Răzvan Oaidă (42nd minute), both at the first victory for the Bucharest team. The goal of the Orhei team was scored by Vadim Bolohan (47th minute).

In the Europa League second qualifying round, FCSB will face the Armenian team Alaskert FC, who won 3-1 and 3-0 against Makedonija Skopje. FCSB will play the first game in Erevan on July 25.

Universitatea Craiova has also made it to the Europa League second qualifying round after defeating Sabail FK (Azerbaijan) 3-2 (1-0).

Universitatea won by the same score as Baku after a more difficult match than expected.

Alexandru Cicâldău (28th minute), Bogdan Vătăjelu (53rd minute) and Carlos Fortes (90th minute) scored the goals for the hosts, while Agabala Ramazanov (67th miinute) and Dylan Duventru (69th minute) scored for the guests.

In the second qualifying round, Universitatea will face Honved Budapest.
