European Championship U-21: Romania stuns Croatia 4-1. George Puscas – man of the match

The national football U-21 team of Romania started with a superb victory at the Under-21 European Football Championship in Italy and San Marino, defeating Croatia 4-1 (2-1) Tuesday night in Group C, on the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.

Romania U-21 team won their first win at a European Youth Championship, 21 years after their only previous participation.

The Romanian team won the goals scored by George Puşcaş (11th minute – photo 2), Ianis Hagi (14th minute), Tudor Băluţă (66th minute), Adrian Petre (90th + 1) and Nikola Vlasic (18th). The first and the last goals were confirmed after the consultation of the video arbitration, a premiere for a Romanian team.

In the other match in Group C France-England 2-1.

Romania will play the next game in Group C on June 21, against England (Dino Manuzzi – Cesena, 19:30h).
