Ponor was awarded 14.566 points, while Iordache, 20, got 13.966 points. The silver medal went to Dutch Eythora Thorsdottir (14.066 points).

This is Ponor’s 9th European title and fifth beam tile. Iordache’s Sunday medal was her 12th European medal.

Catalina Ponor is a veteran among the Romanian female gymnasts, as she is turning 30 in August this year.
