Fencing: Tiberiu Dolniceanu wins bronze medal in the sabre competition in Madrid

Romanian fencer Tiberiu Dolniceanu ranked third in the individual sabre competition Villa de Madrid World Cup stage after being defeated in the final by South Korean Gu Bongil 15-10. In the first round, Dolniceanu won 15-12 in front of another South Korean, Kim Kyehwan, then defeated Italian Massimiliano Murolo, in the last sixteen defeated 15-10 Luca Curatoli (Italy) and in the quarters he defeated 15-12 another Italian, Luigi Samele. Alin Badea was ranked seventh. In the team competition, Romania, led by coach Mihai Covaliu, ranked eight.
