FIFA rankings: Romania up two places to the 12th

Romania’s national football team went up two places to the 12th in April’s rankings of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA), which was released on Thursday. This ranking represents Romania’s highest place in the world classification in the last six years and eight months.
Romanian opponents in qualifier Group F for Euro 2016 occupy the following locations: Greece – 24th with 900 points (up three places), Northern Ireland – 42nd with 672 points, Hungary – 43rd with 665 points (up three places), Finland – 78th with 446 points (stationary) and the Faroe Islands – 102nd with 318 points (up three places).
In this ranking, Romanian national representative is better positioned than Italy, 13th with 1,085 points and England squad, ranked 14th with 1,030 points.
Germany’s squad remains in first place in the hierarchy (1,687 points), followed by Argentina (1,490) and Belgium (1,457).
