Football: Romania, down to 25th position in FIFA rankings

The national football team of Romania is on the 25th position in FIFA rankings, one position down against the end of 2018, according to the FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

Early in 2018 Romania was 40th but climbed step by step to the 25th position, the best ranking since 2016.

The adversaries in the EURO 2020 qualifying group are ranked as follows: Spain – 9th, Sweden – 14th, Norway – 48th, Faeroe Islands – 97th, Malta – 182nd.

Turkey, coached by Romanian Mircea Lucescu, has dropped two positions to the 41st.

The next rankings will be released on April 4.
