Romanian tennis player Simona Halep ranks seventh in the standing of the best paid woman athletes during June 1, 2014-June 1, 2015, Forbes informs, quoted by ziare.com.
According to the source, Halep won in the last year some USD 6.8 million, of which USD 5.3 million from the tournament’s awards.
For the eleventh consecutive year Maria Sharapova (Russia) tops the standings with USD 29.1 million, followed by Serena Williams – USD 24.6 million and Caroline Wozniaki (Denmark) – USD 14.6 million.
On the following places: 4th – Danica Patrick (US – motoring) – USD 13.9 million; 5th – Ana Ivanovici (Serbia – tennis) – USD 8.3 million; 6th – Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic, tennis) – USD 7.7 million; 7th – Simona Halep (Romania – tennis) – USD 6.8 million; 8th – Ronda Rousey (US – martial arts) – USD 6.5 million; 9th – Stacy Lewis (US – golf) – USD 6.4 million; 10th – Agnieszka Radwanska (Poloand – tennis) – USD 6 million.
