The draw for the final tournament of European Championship in 2020 will take place in Bucharest, an announcement made on Friday during the presentation of the EURO 2020 trophy on the National Arena in the capital city.

I am here to present the Henri Delaunay trophy and to announce that this stadium will host four matches of the final tournament. I can also make another announcement: on November 30, 2019, Bucharest will host the draw for the final tournament of the European Championship. I congratulate you for organizing this event, said the former French international footballer Christian Karembeu, ziare.com reports.

Romanian Football Federation (FRF) Razvan Burleanu said he is very pleased by the UEFA decision: “I’ve learned about this information yesterday. It is the most important non-sports event of EURO 2020. It’s a great pleasure, it is a recognition of Romanian football and of Romania. I believe we will have the intelligence and capability to use this colossal event to promote Romania on regional and international levels.”

The draw for the EURO 2020 final tournament will take place on November 30, 2019, at Romexpo.

Bucharest is one of the 12 cities to host EURO 2020, scheduled during June 12-July 12, 2020.
