Iohannis-Halep demonstrative tennis match next year

President-elect Klaus Iohannis informed on Monday that he would play a demonstrative game with tennis player Simona Halep, arguing his move aims at “drawing the rising generation near to this sport.”
“I will play a demonstrative tennis game with Ms. Simona Halep next year. I hope with my whole heart that this event should contribute to the young generation’s getting close to this wonderful sport,” reads a post on Iohannis’ Facebook page.
Tennis player Simona Halep invited President-elect Klaus Iohannis to sing Romanian anthem together with the national team of female tennis players at the match with Spain due on February 2015 at Galati. Iohannis accepted.
