Judo: Daniel Natea wins gold medal at Guadalajara Masters

Daniel Natea, Romanian judoka competing for +100 kg, has succeeded in having a good evolution In Mexico and won the gold medal in Guadalajara after four matches, all won by Ippon (10 points), hotnews.ro informs.

In the first match he defeated Jose Cuevas, Mexico, in the second round Japanese athlete Harawasa Hisayoshi (undefeated in the past two years). In the semi-final Natea won against Kokauri Ushangi (Kazakhstan) and in the final he defeated Sasson Or (Israel).

The Master competition in Mexico, the last one before the Rio Olympics, was joined by the best ten judoka in the world. Natea, by winning the gold medal, is now the 8th in world rankings at the +100 kg category and gets higher chances to won an Olympic medal.
