Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, 3rd WTA, has qualified on Frisday to the Mutua Madrid Open final, a tournament with total prizes worth USD 7,021,128, after defeating Belinda Bencic 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-0.

In the final, Simona Halep will face the winner of the match between Sloane Stephens and Kiki Bertens.

The pair made up by Horia Tecau (Romania) and Jean-Julien Rojer (the Netherlands) has qualified on Friday to the doubles final at Mutua Madrid Open, after defeating Wesley Koolhof (Netherlands)/Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) 6-4,5-7, 10-5 in one hour and 29 minutes.

In the previous round, in the quarter-finals, the opponents of the Romanian-Dutch pair, Marcelo Demoliner (Brazil)/Daniil Medvedev (Russia) have withdrawn.

Tecau and Rojer were champions in Madrid in 2016.
