Romanian tennis player, Mihaela Buzarnescu, 31st seeded, making her French Open main draw debut, pulled off a shocking upset in the third round on Friday when she eliminated No.4 seed Elina Svitolina of Ukraine, 6-3, 7-5.

Buzarnescu will face another top-tier challenge in the round of 16 when she takes on No.13 seed and 2017 US Open runner-up Madison Keys of the United States. Keys eased past No.21 seed Naomi Osaka of Japan earlier on Friday, wtatennis.com informs.
