Romania Secures Euro 2024 Spot with Victory Over Israel

Romania defeated Israel in the penultimate match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, with a score of 2-1, in a game played in Hungary on Saturday. With this victory, Romania secured qualification for the final tournament in Germany after an eight-year hiatus.
Romania mathematically secures a place in the final tournament of the European Championship in Germany and takes the top position in Group I, taking advantage of Switzerland’s draw at home with Kosovo.
Euro 2024 Qualifiers, Group I Standings:
- Romania – 19 points
- Switzerland – 17 points
- Israel – 12 points
- Kosovo – 11 points
- Belarus – 9 points
- Andorra – 2 points
The top two teams will qualify for the final tournament next summer (June 14 – July 14), hosted by Germany.
