Romania wins World Rugby Nations Cup for the third time

Romania’s national rugby team won for the third time World Nations Cup, after defeating Argentina Jaguars on Sunday, on Arcul de Triumf National Stadium in Bucharest, with the score 23-0 (7-0), in the last game of the competition.

In the first two matches, the Romanian team, coached by Welshman Lynn Howells, passed Spain 35-9 and Namibia 43-3. In its turn, Argentina Jaguars defeated Spain 15-6 and Namibia 30-10.

In the other match of the day, Spain’s representative has passed with the score of 20-3 the Namibian National Team.

Following these results, Romania finished first in the World Nations Cup, followed by Argentina Jaguars, Spain and Namibia.

Romania won the trophy for the third time after 2012 and 2013 editions, when the competition was called IRB Nations Cup.
