Romanian Football Gala: Constantin Budescu – best footballer in 2017, Gheorghe Hagi – best coach

FCSB midfielder Constantin Budescu was named the best footballer at the Romanian Football Gala, which took place on Monday evening at the Bucharest Fashion Week.

Football legend Gheorghe Hagi, the coach who won with FC Viitorul the 2016-2017 League I title, was named coach of the year. At the same event, Ovidiu Haţegan received the title of best referee.

Other prizes awarded at the 19th edition of the Romanian Football Gala:

Goalkeeper of the year: Ciprian Tataruşanu

Fullback of the year: Romario Benzar

Midfielder of the year: Constantin Budescu

Striker of the year: George Ţucudean

Football Club Leader of the year: Cristian Bivolaru

The coach with the most spectacular progress in 2017: Claudiu Niculescu

The footballer with the most spectacular progress in 2017: Alexandru Băluţă

The revelation of 2017: Dennis Man

Best foreign footballer: Harlem Gnohere

Award of excellence for the entire activity: Cornel Dinu

Award of excellence for the entire activity: Mircea Sandu

Award of excellence for the entire activity: Sorin Cârţu

Award of excellence for the entire activity: Ioan Danciu

Special award: Ana Maria Popescu

Special prize: Ministry of Youth and Sports
