Romanian women’s epee team – silver medallist at the World Cup in Buenos Aires

Romania’s women epee team won silver medals in the World Cup competition in Buenos Aires on Sunday, after being defeated in the final 30-26 by Italy.

The team made up by fencers Ana-Maria Branza, Simona Gherman, Anca M?roiu and Simona Pop defeated Venezuela 42-25 in the last sixteen stage, then Estonia 35-31 in the quarter-finals and, in the semi-finals, has defeated Russia 45-24, while in the final it failed to defeat Italy.

Germany won the bronze medal after defeating Russia 31-29 in the game for places 3-4.

In the individual competition on Friday, Ana-Maria Branza won the 5th place.
