Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen to grant the largest money prize in the tennis history
The 2019 Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen is set to offer the biggest prize money check in the history of men’s or women’s professional tennis. WTA Insider reports that the female tennis player who wins the competition will cash in the largest prize in the history of tennis: USD 4.75 million, gross income.
The total prize money on offer in the inaugural staging of the event in Shenzhen, China is USD 14 million, doubling the event’s previous prize purse of USD 7 million.
The best eight female tennis players in the world are racing in the season-ending Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen. The tour have taken place in Singapore, but this year Shenzhen will host it during October 27-November 3.

USD 4,725,000 – if undefeated (3 round-robin wins)
USD 4,420,000 – if 2 round-robin wins
USD 4,115,000 – if 1 round-robin win
Former World No.1 Simona Halep has climbed to No.2 on the Porsche Race to Shenzhen leaderboard after grabbing her second Grand Slam trophy at Wimbledon last week, grabbing 4.427 points after Australian Ashleigh Barty, 4,885 points.
