Simona Halep announces that Darren Cahill is back in her team

Simona Halep has announced in a video on her official Facebook page that her former coach, Darren Cahill, is coming back in her team, after one-year break.

“Hi, guys. I have some exciting news to share with you. After a year without him on my team, I am happy to announce that Darren will be back by my side next season. D., last time I killed you and I am planning to kill you again. Welcome back. I can’t wait to finish what we’ve started. See you soon,” said Simona.

Simona Halep and Darren Cahill started collaboration in early 2015, Cahill becoming official coach in the summer of 2015.With him by her side, Simona Haelp reached no 1 and won Roland Garros title.

At the end of last year, Darren Cahill informed Simona he will stop being her coach in 2019 for family reasons.

Romanian coach trained Halep this year, helping her to win another Gland Slam trophy, the Wimbledon one.
