Romanian tennis player Simona Halep has decided to put an end to the collaboration with one of her coaches and is to be trained only by Australian Darren Cahill in the coming period.

According to ziare.com, Halep has given up to collaboration with Daniel Dobre.

“Simona has told me she doesn’t need me in the following period. I am a person who hates laying around, so I have started collaboration with the federation on technical issues. We are working on the performance, we are trying to take over part of the ITF experience,” Dobre said in an interview granted to Treizecizero.ro.

Daniel Dobre was the coach to assist Simona Halep in the country and during the tournaments where Daren Cahill was absent.

Former coach of Alexandra Dulgeru, Dobre says he has a good relationship with Simona Halep. “I am glad she plays well and I hope I’ve had at least a small contribution to her development,” Dobre said.

He is a respected professional in Romanian tennis, being considered a very good pedagogue.
